Linn Grant and Grace Kim lead at The Annika

In an emotional day in Belleair, Florida, Linn Grant and Grace Kim shared the lead at The Annika after an outstanding performance. Grant, with an impressive round of 7 under par and a 63, tied with Kim, who signed a 66. Linn Grant, the Swedish golfer who conquered the Dana Open in 2023, expressed her satisfaction with her performance. “Very, very solid. I hit very good shots,” Grant commented. “From tee to green it was very good. I felt like I played similarly yesterday, but I couldn’t make the putts, and today many of them went in.”

I just kept my pace. I just hit a lot of fairways and tried to make a lot of putts. It probably helped that I hit some closer today, making easier birdies. I guess, I just really stayed in my lane.

Grace Kim, who won the Evian Championship in France in July, was also pleased with her game. “I just kept my pace. I just hit a lot of fairways and tried to make a lot of putts. It probably helped that I hit some closer today, making easier birdies. I guess, I just stayed in my lane really,” Kim stated. Nelly Korda, the defending champion, had an outstanding performance with a 63, getting closer to the leaders. Haeran Ryu and Jennifer Kupcho were in third place, while Gaby López also had a good day. Korda, after her outstanding round, commented: “I simply capitalized on my good shots. In fact, I didn’t play badly yesterday at all. I went to the practice range afterwards and then to the putting green and simply told myself that, ‘It’s a new day and you never know what’s going to happen’. I went out and started to capitalize a little more on the best shots.” Auston Kim and Carlota Ciganda, along with Lauren Coughlin, also performed well. Competition is crucial, as the top 60 players in the Race to CME Globe will qualify for next week’s CME Group Tour Championship, where the top prize is $2 million.
