Stewart Cink Wins Charles Schwab Cup

In an exciting final round at the Phoenix Country Club, Stewart Cink won the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the PGA Tour Champions, also securing the season points title.

Cink, with an impressive final round of 67 strokes, four under par, finished the tournament with a total of 20 under par (264), surpassing Steven Alker by two strokes.

Alker, who led the ranking after the third round, finished in second place in both the championship and the overall season standings. A bogey on the 18th hole prevented him from tying Cink.

This is Cink’s third victory of the season and the fourth in 36 appearances on the over-50 circuit. Throughout his career, Cink has achieved eight victories on the PGA Tour, highlighting his triumph at the 2009 British Open, where he defeated Tom Watson in a playoff.

Freddie Jacobson, Jerry Kelly, and Tommy Gainey shared third place with a total of 15 under par.
