Charlie Woods Qualifies for the U.S. Junior Amateur

Charlie Woods, the 16-year-old son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, has qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur. This Thursday, Woods won a three-way tiebreaker at Eagle Trace Golf Club, securing his place in the tournament. Woods completed the round with a 71, demonstrating his skill and determination. This will be the second consecutive time Charlie participates in the U.S. Junior Amateur. The next challenge for him will be the 36-hole qualifier, where he will face another 264 players. The best 64 will advance to the match play phase. The U.S. Junior Amateur, a tournament that Tiger Woods conquered three consecutive times, will be held from July 21 to 26 at Trinity Forest, Dallas. This golf course also hosted the PGA Tour’s Byron Nelson Classic. In last year’s edition of the U.S. Junior Amateur, Charlie Woods failed to advance beyond the qualifying rounds. Currently a student at The Benjamin School, Charlie Woods secured his first significant title from the American Junior Golf Association in May.
