Charlie Woods failed to qualify for the U.S. Open in his second attempt.
The 16-year-old golfer carded a 75 (+3) at Wellington Golf Club, Florida, this Thursday. He was seven strokes off the required score of 68.
Despite this, Woods showed an improvement in his performance.
Last year, he recorded 81 strokes (+9) at the Legacy Golf & Tennis Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Although he qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur, he did not make the cut in that tournament by 18 strokes.
Arth Sinha finished in first place in the U.S. Open standings with 66 strokes (-6), one stroke less than Matthew Marigliano.
Tyler Stachkunas, Carson Kiawonn, and Michael Gligic also secured their place in the 36-hole final qualifying round at Emerald Dunes, West Palm Beach, Florida.
The U.S. Open 2025 will be held from June 12 to 15 at Oakmont Country Club, Pennsylvania.
