Caitlin Clark Ready for a Comeback… to Golf!

Basketball star Caitlin Clark is preparing for a return to action, but this time, on the golf course. After a season marked by injuries in the WNBA, Clark will participate in the pro-am of The Annika tournament on the LPGA Tour next month.

I had an incredible time at The Annika last November and participating in the pro-am alongside Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, two of the best in the game.

The pro-am event will take place on November 12th at the Pelican Golf Club and will be open to the public. In her first participation last year, following her successful debut season in the WNBA, Clark attracted a large crowd and generated great enthusiasm. The Annika is the penultimate tournament on the LPGA schedule. Clark has a corporate relationship with Gainbridge Insurance, the main sponsor. The second season of Clark in the WNBA was affected by injuries. She was only able to play 13 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season on September 4 due to a groin injury. Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, made the playoffs again, but was eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
