The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia has made a significant investment in the Ladies European Tour (LET), becoming the main sponsor of five women’s golf events.

The events, formerly known as Aramco Team Series, have been renamed PIF Global Series and will be held in five countries across three continents in 2025. The tournaments will feature prize money that will increase from $1 million to $2 million.

This news comes after the $5 million PIF Saudi Ladies International prize in February, where Jeeno Thitikul won $675,000 for her victory. The event will be maintained for the 2026 season.

PIF Global Series Events

  • PIF Saudi Ladies International: Riyadh Golf Club, Riyadh (February 12-15)
  • Aramco Korea Championship: New Korea Country Club, Seoul, South Korea (May 9-11)
  • PIF Championship: Centurion Club, London (August 8-10)
  • Aramco Houston Championship: To be confirmed, Houston (September 5-7)
  • Aramco Shenzhen Championship: Mission Hills, Shenzhen, China (November 6-8)

The accumulated prize money in the five events will reach $13 million.

Like the PIF-backed LIV Golf League, each of the revamped LET events will feature both team and individual competitions held simultaneously. For the team competition, captains will be designated based on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings and will select their teams.

The new PIF Global Series is another great moment for the LET, as it continues to grow and offer more opportunities for players to play and win in incredible events around the world.

In addition to LIV and LET, the PIF has recently made significant investments in the ATP and WTA tennis circuits, including the main sponsorship of the ranking systems of both organizations.
