Verstappen, starting from second position on the grid, overtook Lando Norris, who had secured the pole position, at the first corner of the initial lap. Furthermore, Verstappen secured an additional point by setting the fastest lap, culminating the race with a lead of over 20 seconds over Norris, who finished in second place.
George Russell, winner of last year’s race, secured third place, solidifying a strong performance for Mercedes. Oscar Piastri placed in fourth position.The race was a bit lonely.
