The defending champion, Max Verstappen, has cleared up any doubts about his future in Formula 1 by confirming that he will remain at Red Bull next year. His statements put an end to the speculation that has arisen in recent weeks. The uncertainty about Verstappen’s future intensified after Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff expressed his interest in the driver. However, Verstappen himself has settled the matter, making it clear that his focus has always been on improving his team’s performance.Verstappen signed his current contract with Red Bull in 2022, ensuring his stay with the team until the end of the 2028 season. Verstappen’s confirmation comes after the departure of team principal Christian Horner following this month’s British Grand Prix. Horner, who had been with the team since its F1 debut in 2005, was replaced by former Racing Bulls team principal Laurent Mekies.
