Lance Stroll withdraws from the Spanish Grand Prix due to pain in his hand and wrist.
A statement from Aston Martin on Saturday evening, several hours after he qualified in 14th place, confirmed Stroll’s withdrawal from Sunday’s race.
According to Aston Martin, the pain has persisted for a month and a half and is related to the wrist fracture he suffered in a bicycle accident during pre-season training in 2023.For the past six weeks, Lance has experienced pain in his hand and wrist, which his medical consultant believes is related to the procedure he underwent in 2023.

The next F1 race is the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on June 15, but his participation is now in doubt.
Aston Martin’s reserve drivers are Felipe Drugovich and American F2 driver Jack Crawford.Stroll qualified in 14th place for the Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday, but was summoned to the stewards for not going to the driver weighbridge when instructed.
