Daniel Ricciardo Steps Away from the Track, But Not from Speed: New Ford Racing Ambassador
The renowned driver Daniel Ricciardo has confirmed his definitive retirement from racing, marking the beginning of a new stage as an ambassador for Ford’s racing division. This news comes after a successful career in motorsport, where Ricciardo left an indelible mark. Ricciardo has been named Global Ambassador of Ford Racing, formerly known as Ford Performance, and will be the visible face of the brand’s racing activities. The driver, known for his charisma and talent, was one of the most beloved of the modern Formula 1 era. In an open letter, Ricciardo expressed his enthusiasm for this new stage: “Although my racing days are over, my love for anything with wheels will always be high, and that’s why I am proud to partner with Ford to become a Global Ambassador for Ford Racing.” The Australian driver also highlighted his plans with Ford: “I am going to work closely with the Ford Racing team and, specifically, I will focus on the incredible Raptor brand and the lifestyle that Raptor has become for many of Ford’s customers.”Ricciardo, who left F1 after the Singapore Grand Prix last year, has received offers from IndyCar and NASCAR teams. Ford has worked closely with his former team Red Bull and is providing support to the new F1 engine department of the former world champion, which will build the engines it will use from 2026.For me, racing was always about having fun.
