Piastri Sets the Pace in Final Practice of the Hungarian GP, Verstappen Suffers
Oscar Piastri, championship leader, dominated the last practice session of the Hungarian Grand Prix, surpassing his teammate Lando Norris. Norris, who had led the first two practice sessions, was relegated by Piastri, who set a difference of 0.032 seconds on Saturday, hours before qualifying.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton’s Ferraris were positioned third and fourth, respectively. Leclerc was four tenths of a second behind Norris.

  • Fernando Alonso, from Aston Martin, finished sixth.
George Russell took eighth place, while Max Verstappen had a complicated weekend, finishing in twelfth position.

The four-time world champion criticized the handling of his Red Bull, finishing the session 1.2 seconds slower than Piastri.

Yuki Tsunoda, in the other Red Bull, placed 19th out of 20. The classification for the fourteenth round of twenty-four will take place at 16:00 local time (15:00 BST). Piastri maintains a 16-point lead over his teammate Norris in the world championship.
