Mercedes F1: Bradley Lord Promoted to Deputy Director, Wolff Support Assured
Mercedes announces a significant change in its leadership structure, appointing Bradley Lord as deputy team principal of Formula 1. Lord, who has been the team’s head of communications for a long time, assumes this new role immediately, becoming number two to Toto Wolff. The decision comes after a period of growth and expansion of the team and Formula 1 in general.

With the growth of our team and F1, the scope of our operations and responsibilities associated with a high level has grown significantly.

Wolff assured that his function will not undergo major changes despite this appointment. Mercedes’ press release explains that this change seeks to “ensure that responsibilities are distributed efficiently within the senior leadership group.” Lord has been a key figure in the team, playing an important role in its success during the turbo V6 era. Before joining Mercedes, Lord worked in communications for Benetton and Renault, as well as having experience in editorial roles at Autosport and F1 Racing.
