The renowned driver Fernando Alonso has expressed his admiration for the young Gabriel Bortoleto of Sauber, calling him “the best rookie of his generation” after his outstanding performance in the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Bortoleto, 20 years old, achieved a sixth place in Budapest, just behind Alonso, who finished fifth. This result secured him points for the third time in his last four races.

Bortoleto also shared his impressions, highlighting the constant learning and teamwork. “We did an incredible job [in Hungary], the team gave me an incredible car for today’s race. We managed to make everything fit. The strategy was great. I don’t see how we could have finished this half of the season better,” commented Bortoleto.
Formula 1 now enters its summer break, with the Dutch Grand Prix scheduled for August 31st.
