MVP Announces Full Fight Card for Inaugural U.S. Event
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has revealed the complete schedule for its first event in the United States, under the MVPW platform, a global initiative dedicated to women’s boxing. The event, which will take place at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 17, will be headlined by Alycia Baumgardner’s defense of the unified junior lightweight title against Bo Mi Re Shin. The main card will feature high-caliber fights and promises an exciting night for boxing fans.Main Card Highlights
- Tamm Thibeault (4-0, 3 KOs), undefeated middleweight title contender, will face Nadja Jesus (5-0, 3 KOs) in a 10-round bout.
- Krystal Rosado (8-1, 2 KOs) of Puerto Rico will face Fernanda Reyes (8-0) of Mexico in an eight-round bantamweight fight.
The preliminaries will also feature several male fights, including that of American Olympian Jahmal Harvey (2-0, 1 KOs) against Leandro Medina (7-3-1, 4 KOs) of Argentina in a six-round lightweight bout. Javon “Wanna” Walton (3-0-1, 1 KO) will also continue his professional boxing career by facing Dionne Ruvalcaba (2-2, 1 KO) in a six-round lightweight bout. In addition, undefeated flyweight Nat “No Love” Dove (7-0-1, 2 KOs) will face Maria Micheo in an eight-round bout, and Raquel “Pretty Beast” Miller (13-0, 6 KOs) will debut at MVP against Adriana Araujo (6-3, 1 KO) in a six-round super middleweight bout. These last two bouts are pending final approval from the New York State Athletic Commission. Completing the fight card, Elon De Jesus (11-1-2, 8 KOs) will face Connor Adaway (10-2-1, 4 KOs), and Alex Vargas (14-0, 5 KOs) will face Ryan O’Rourke (13-0, 3 KOs). The event promises to be a milestone in women’s boxing, providing female boxers with the platform and visibility they deserve.I am proud to be part of the first female main event.
