Parker denies doping after failing test: Investigation underway
Boxer Joseph Parker is at the center of controversy after an adverse result was confirmed in a doping test carried out on October 25, the day of his fight against Fabio Wardley in London. Parker, who suffered a technical knockout defeat in the eleventh round against Wardley at the O2 Arena, has strongly denied having consumed any prohibited substance.

“I was surprised by this result. I have not taken any prohibited substances, I do not use drugs to enhance performance and I do not support their use.”

Parker’s promoter, Queensberry Promotions, also issued an official statement. “The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) informed all relevant parties last night that Joseph Parker returned an adverse finding following a doping test conducted on October 25 in connection with his fight with Fabio Wardley,” Queensberry communicated. The company added that they will not make any further comments while the investigation continues. Parker, after a streak of six consecutive victories, including wins over Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang, and Martin Bakole, had positioned himself for a possible fight against Usyk. Parker’s future in boxing could be affected depending on the outcome of the investigation.
