Jahmal Harvey Joins Most Valuable Promotions

American Olympic boxer Jahmal Harvey has signed with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), Jake Paul’s promoter, according to a recent announcement. Harvey, considered one of the most outstanding American amateur boxers, has an impressive record that includes ten U.S. national titles and his participation in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Joins a growing list of promising boxers under the MVP banner, including Canadian Olympian and amateur world champion Tamm Thibeault, 19-time US national champion Sa’Rai Brown-El, Brazilian Olympian Keno Marley, 15-time US national champion Nat “No Love” Dove, and two-time US national champion Alex Gueche.

We believe Jahmal Harvey can become one of the most important faces in boxing, both inside and outside the ring.

Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of MVP
Bidarian explained that Harvey has been on Most Valuable Promotions’ radar since December 2023, due to Paul’s association with Team USA Boxing. “Jahmal was our main target after the Olympics and, when we knew he was ready to make the jump to the pros, we focused on the deal.”

Jahmal Harvey, an American boxer, connects a jab against Munarbek Seiitbek from Kyrgyzstan in his boxing quarterfinal match at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Originally from Oxen Hill, Maryland, 22-year-old Harvey will make his professional debut on August 22 in a six-round super featherweight bout against Peruvian Marcelo Del Aguila (5-1, 1 KO) at the Most Valuable Prospects 14 event, which will take place at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida.

When I went to Colorado Springs with Team USA before the Paris Olympics, I was able to meet Jahmal and the rest of the team while training with them and providing them with mental strength techniques. Even among the best amateur talents in the US, Jahmal immediately caught my attention as the complete package, with the potential to become a future world champion and a massive MVP star. It’s an honor to now welcome him to the team, and I look forward to seeing him put the super featherweight division on notice starting Friday, August 22nd.

Jake Paul
In 2021, Harvey became the first American gold medalist at the IBA World Boxing Championships since Demetrius Andrade achieved the feat in 2007. He advanced to the quarterfinals as a featherweight, but did not win a medal after losing to Munarbek Seitbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan. According to Boxrec, Harvey finished his amateur stage with a record of 61-8.

I’m signing with Most Valuable Promotions because I believe it’s the best thing for me to become the MVP of the sport. Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian are changing the game and putting athletes on the biggest stages, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
