Chantelle Cameron, after joining Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), is optimistic about the possibility of an anticipated trilogy against Katie Taylor.
Cameron (20-1, 8 KOs) announced her signing with MVP on Monday, along with IBF super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall.
After two spectacular fights against Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) in 2023, with a win for each, Cameron has asked for a third fight to decide.
MVP, who also represents Amanda Serrano, has worked closely with Taylor, with their third fight scheduled for July 11 in New York.
Yes, definitely. I think [MVP] has a good working relationship with Katie now, she’s had the back-to-back fights with Amanda.

Cameron expressed her hope that this move to MVP brings her closer to a third fight against Taylor. “There’s no reason why, if she’s victorious in July, what’s the excuse not to fight me then.”
“It’s a massive move. Who knows, Amanda might get the decision, but if Katie wins, it’ll be interesting to see what move she makes because I’ll be with MVP, she knows MVP will put up the money, so let’s see what she does.”

Cameron’s next opponent is expected to be announced shortly, and the former undisputed junior welterweight champion is encouraged by MVP’s track record in promoting female boxers.
The proof is in the pudding with Amanda Serrano. What they have done with Amanda is incredible… they are revolutionary. Their promotion, the content, the promotion they do, is complete. They are crushing it. It’s something I wanted to be a part of and didn’t want to miss the opportunity, so they didn’t even have to present me with a proposal.

With MVP putting women’s boxing at the center of its business, the switch was straightforward for Cameron, despite maintaining a strong relationship with her former promoter Frank Warren and Queensberry.
It was a really positive transition and that’s the main thing. That doesn’t happen often in professional boxing, but I had a great relationship with Queensberry and now I’m going to have a great relationship with MVP. I think any female boxer should now be considering signing with MVP because they are really investing and dedicating time and effort to women.
