A weekend of boxing, although with little influence on the divisional rankings, left us with an unmissable fight.

Super Welterweight Clash of Titans
In the co-main event of the first edition of Most Valuable Promotions’ MVP Fight Night in Orlando, super welterweights Abass Baraou (17-1, 9 KOs) and Yoenis Tellez (10-1, 7 KOs) starred in an electrifying fight. Baraou and Tellez engaged in a fierce and entertaining battle, where each had their moments of brilliance. Tellez, recognized for his victory over Julian Williams in March, countered Baraou’s constant pressure with precise counterattacks. However, Baraou did not give up, and his intense offense finally wore down Tellez in the twelfth round, sending the Cuban to the canvas with a few seconds remaining, sealing an exceptional performance.Controversy in the Main Event
The main event, on the other hand, was a less attractive encounter that ended in a bewildering result. Yankiel Rivera (7-0-1, 3 KOs) and Angelino Córdova (19-0-2, 12 KOs) finished in a controversial majority draw, despite Córdova being knocked down and suffering a penalty. Rivera seemed to be in the lead after sending Córdova to the canvas in the fourth round and after the latter was penalized for repeated blows to the back of the head in the sixth. However, none of the three judges scored in favor of Rivera, with two marking 113-113 and a third, surprisingly, in favor of Córdova with 115-111.Divisional Rankings
Boxing rankings highlight the best in each weight category. These rankings are updated based on recent results and performances. Boxers who announce their move to a new weight category will be included in that division, if applicable, once they fight in it. Boxers currently holding titles in two divisions may be ranked in both. Boxers who have not competed in the last 12 months, and who do not have a scheduled fight, will be removed from the rankings until they fight again. Any boxer who tests positive for a performance-enhancing substance will also be removed. That boxer may re-enter the rankings after their next fight.Current Champions
