Kelvin Joseph, Former NFL Player, Arrested After Fatal Accident
Former NFL cornerback Kelvin Joseph is facing charges following his alleged involvement in an accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on a Dallas-area highway.
According to reports, Joseph, who currently plays in the United Football League, called the police to report his involvement in the incident that occurred early Saturday morning.
The 25-year-old player was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and collision resulting in personal injury or death, a second-degree felony. The fatal victim was identified as Cody Morris, 27, a resident of Plano.
Joseph was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, where he played for two seasons before being transferred to the Miami Dolphins. He also had brief periods with the Seattle Seahawks and the Indianapolis Colts.At the time of the incident, Joseph was playing for the DC Defenders, a team that was scheduled to participate in a UFL conference championship on Sunday.
The UFL issued a statement informing that they were aware of Joseph’s arrest, but declined to comment further.

In the 2022 offseason, while playing for the Cowboys, Joseph was involved in an incident in which, from a vehicle where he was a passenger, shots were fired at a group of men in Dallas, resulting in the death of one of them. The police determined that Joseph was not the shooter and the NFL did not suspend him.
As of yet, it has not been confirmed whether Joseph has legal representation following his arrest.
