David Beckham Will Be Knighted: A Deserved Honor
Manchester United legend David Beckham is set to be knighted in the King Charles’ birthday honors list, according to reports in British media.
The news, which has been reported by various media outlets, comes after almost a decade in which Beckham had not been considered for the country’s highest honorary title. This, despite his successful football career and his extensive charitable work, including his role as an ambassador for Unicef and the King’s Foundation.
The honors list is expected to be announced next week. Beckham’s wife, Victoria, will take the title of Lady Beckham.

In addition, he played an important role in helping London secure the rights to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
Beckham contributed to United winning six Premier League titles, including the historic treble of 1999. He also played for Real Madrid during the Galácticos era, raised the profile of Major League Soccer by joining LA Galaxy, and had spells at AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain before retiring in 2013.
He currently co-owns Inter Miami of MLS, where he managed to sign a quartet of former Barcelona stars, led by Lionel Messi.
