Kylian Mbappé and Eduardo Camavinga have expressed their unconditional support for Xabi Alonso, following Real Madrid’s 4-3 victory in the Champions League against Olympiacos. The pressure on Alonso had increased after three consecutive winless matches, raising doubts about his relationship with key players in the team, including Vinícius Júnior, who had been a substitute on four occasions this season.Mbappé, after scoring four goals, including a hat-trick in seven minutes, insisted that the team and the coaching staff are “united”. Vinícius embraced Alonso during the celebrations at the Karaiskakis stadium. Before the match against Olympiacos, Real Madrid had lost 1-0 against Liverpool and drawn 0-0 against Rayo Vallecano and 2-2 against Elche in LaLiga, where Mbappé had not managed to score.We have to protect the players, the coach, and the staff.
