Hansi Flick Promises a Renewed Barcelona After Defeat Against Chelsea

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has assured that we will see a “different” team in the coming weeks, after the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea in the Champions League. An own goal by Jules Koundé gave Chelsea the lead in the first half, followed by goals from Estêvão and Liam Delap in the second half, after Ronald Araújo was sent off just before halftime. This defeat leaves the Spanish team in 15th position in the table, with only seven points in five matches, which puts their classification to the round of 16 at risk.

We will see a different Barcelona in the next matches, that’s what I can promise,” Flick said in the press conference after the match.

Ferran Torres had a clear opportunity to put Barcelona ahead before Chelsea took control of the match. Araujo’s expulsion was a turning point, according to the coach. Estêvão extended Chelsea’s lead with an individual goal, and Delap completed the rout, leading Flick to lament his team’s lack of aggression.
