Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua
Most Valuable Promotions has unveiled the fight card that will accompany the highly anticipated clash between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix. The main structure of the fight card remains largely the same, similar to the one originally planned for the Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight. Alycia Baumgardner will defend her unified super-featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin, serving as the co-main event. However, a significant change has occurred in the fight card. Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman in the initial bout. Instead, Tyron Woodley will step into the ring to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight fight. Both Silva and Woodley have suffered defeats against Jake Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley was defeated twice by “The Problem Child”: once by split decision in August 2021 and a harsh knockout loss in the rematch in December of that same year.Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who was the UFC welterweight champion from 2016 to 2019, will seek to obtain his first victory in boxing against one of the most prominent champions in the history of MMA.I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job. Always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.
