Jordan Poole Cleared to Return to Action with the Pelicans
Good news for the New Orleans Pelicans. Guard Jordan Poole has been cleared to resume activities on the court after missing ten games due to a quadriceps injury.
The team also reported that forward Herb Jones will be out for at least a week due to a slight strain in his right calf, at which point he will be reevaluated.
Poole hasn’t played since he played 27 minutes in the 116-112 victory against the Charlotte Hornets on November 4. During Poole’s absence, the Pelicans have only won one game out of ten, losing the last nine.
The Pelicans got Zion Williamson back on November 19, after a hamstring injury that kept him out for eight games.
So far this season, Poole is averaging 17.3 points and 33.9% three-point shooting efficiency. He has started in four of the seven games he has played.
Jones, one of the team’s best defenders, averages 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals.
