Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua on December 19th

Most Valuable Promotions has announced the preliminary fights for the highly anticipated match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix. The fight card, which was originally planned for the Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight, maintains much of its original structure. Alycia Baumgardner will defend her unified super featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin in the co-main event. However, there has been a change in the main card. Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman in the initial bout. Instead, Tyron Woodley will take his place to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have suffered defeats against Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley lost both fights against “The Problem Child”, one by split decision in August 2021 and the other by knockout in the rematch in December of that same year.

I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job. Always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.

Anderson Silva
Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who was the UFC welterweight champion from 2016 to 2019, will seek his first boxing victory against one of the best MMA champions of all time.

Facing occasions like this is where legends are born.

La última vez que peleó, Tyron Woodley, a la izquierda, fue brutalmente noqueado en el sexto asalto de su combate de boxeo contra Jake Paul en diciembre de 2021.
In the preliminary card, Cherneka “Sugar Neekz” Johnson will defend her undisputed bantamweight title against Amanda Galle. In addition, Yokasta Valle will put her WBC strawweight title on the line against Yadira Bustillos, and Avious Griffin will face Justin Cardona in a welterweight bout. Keno Marley, a two-time Brazilian Olympian, will make his professional debut in a four-round cruiserweight bout against Diarra Davis. The WBA super lightweight title fight between champion Gary Antuanne Russell and Andy Hiraoka is no longer part of the card.

Anderson Silva vs. Tyron Woodley is an iconic matchup, which continues to elevate Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day to one of the most exciting combat sports events of the decade. This is the gladiatorial sports spectacle of the 21st century. A main event that has captivated the entire world. Bringing back two of the MMA GOATs to the spotlight on a global stage, live on Netflix, reflects the magnitude of this card.
