Kawhi Leonard Could Return to Action with the Clippers on Sunday
The Los Angeles Clippers are planning the return of their star, forward Kawhi Leonard, for Sunday’s away game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The information was provided by sources close to the team.
Leonard has missed the last 10 games, including Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. His absence is due to a sprained right ankle and foot, an injury suffered on November 3 against the Miami Heat.
A source indicated that Leonard will have to complete his pre-game routine on Sunday before being confirmed to participate.
Since his arrival at the Clippers in 2019, injuries have been a recurring factor for Leonard. He missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a serious injury to his right knee and was absent from the first 34 games of last season due to problems in the same knee.
In the six games he has played this season, Leonard averages 24.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
