The world of sports, just like life, is constantly changing. Although consistency is a goal for fantasy managers, player performance can vary greatly throughout a season.
Keeping up with the ups and downs throughout the matches can be overwhelming. That’s why analyzing the situation week by week makes it easier to keep track of what really matters.
This column will help you follow the momentum changes as they occur, using key data.
Rising Players
Janelle Salaun, F, Golden State Valkyries (27.0% on teams, +25.7)
Salaun has been fundamental in the Valkyries’ rotation this season. She has played 28 minutes or more in four consecutive games and has scored over 20 fantasy points in three of them, including two with 37 or more. Her debut season in the WNBA is proving solid, thanks to her international experience. As a player who contributes beyond points and rebounds, she deserves consideration in more leagues.
Lexie Hull, G, Indiana Fever (31.9% on teams, +8.9)
Caitlin Clark started the 2025 season strong, scoring over 35 fantasy points in three of her first four games, including two with 50 or more, but is now out for at least two weeks due to a quadriceps strain. Her absence is significant, as she accounted for 44.3% of the Fever’s points through scoring or assists, the third-highest rate in league history after four games. Hull, who already had solid minutes off the bench, has entered the starting lineup and has played over 26 minutes with more than 18 fantasy points in consecutive games. She is a good option for managers who have Clark and could maintain her value even when Clark returns.
Players in Decline
DeWanna Bonner, F, Indiana Fever (85.9% on teams, -7.2%)
Bonner was one of the Fever’s most notable free agency signings. However, so far, she has only had one game with over 20 fantasy points, with 36 points in 25 minutes against the Washington Mystics on May 28th. After averaging 28.1 fantasy points per game with the Connecticut Sun last season, Bonner is adapting to Stephanie White’s system in Indiana, which is based more on intuition and freedom. If you are in one of the leagues where she was dropped, this could be the perfect time to add her, as Bonner continues to develop chemistry with the rest of the team.Leonie Fiebich, F, New York Liberty (50.7% on teams, -13.2)
Only four players in the Liberty’s rotation average more minutes per game than Fiebich. She has scored 15 or more fantasy points in three of five games, but her usage rate is among the lowest on the team. Most of her fantasy value comes from rebounds, not scoring. Fiebich has also benefited from the absence of Jonquel Jones due to a hamstring injury. With Jones’ return, Fiebich’s potential decreases significantly.
