AGLA Crowned Champion at the XI Fedogolf Inter-Association Tournament

Bávaro. The Golf Association of the Province of La Altagracia (AGLA) demonstrated its supremacy by winning the title in the XI edition of the Inter-Associations Tournament, an event that brought together the nine associations affiliated with the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf). The tournament was supported by Mastercard Banreservas. AGLA prevailed in a close competition, surpassing the defending champions, the Santiago Province Golf Association (Sagolf), with a score of 86 to 85.75 points. The La Vega Province Association (LVGA) secured third place with 73 points.

In the individual category, Juan Carlos Perelló, from Sagolf, stood out by winning category A with the best score of the tournament, recording an impressive 68 strokes, 4 under par.
  • Category AA: Alejandro Morales (Asoglar) with 73 strokes.
  • Category B: Luis Fernández (Sagolf) with 75 strokes, winning on a tiebreaker.
  • Category C: Dávide Varacalli (Asoglar) with 79 strokes.
  • Senior A: Juan Taveras (Puerto Plata) with 74 strokes, also on a tiebreaker.
  • Senior B: Julio Cross (San Pedro de Macorís) with 73 strokes.
  • Ladies B: Ekaterina Riansetseva (AGLA) with 42 points.
  • Ladies A: Shanel Rodríguez (Agopro) with 73 strokes.
In the pre-tournament ceremony, Enrique Valverde, president of Fedogolf, awarded a recognition plaque to Punta Blanca Golf Course, received by Antonio Ramis, general director of Grupo Punta Blanca, and Tomás Mercedes, its golf director. Franklin Díaz, division manager at Mastercard Banreservas, highlighted the benefits of credit cards for golfers. The XI Inter-Associations Tournament was supported by La Famosa, United Brands and Casa Brugal.
