Travis Kelce Sets New Touchdown Record for the Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has made history by breaking the record for most total touchdowns in franchise history. The milestone was achieved during Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Kelce, with his outstanding 21-yard touchdown reception, added his 84th career score. This crucial moment occurred at the beginning of the fourth quarter, giving the Chiefs the lead on the scoreboard for the first time in the game.
In a critical third-down play and six yards to go, quarterback Patrick Mahomes relied on his most consistent connection throughout his nine-year career: his reliable tight end.
Kelce, after catching the ball in the center of the field, was still a few yards away from the line needed to advance. However, demonstrating his strength and cunning, Kelce made a spectacular play, evading safety Talanoa Hufanga and running towards the end zone.
