Sabalenka advances at Roland Garros after defeating Teichmann
The world number one, Aryna Sabalenka, overcame a difficult start to defeat Swiss Jil Teichmann with scores of 6-3, 6-1 and advance to the third round of the French Open.Sabalenka, who had had a smashing debut in the first round, encountered greater resistance from Teichmann. The victory was secured with a break in the seventh game, ending the match when Teichmann sent a long shot, which allowed Sabalenka to secure her place in the next round and prepare to face the also left-handed Olga Danilovic.
