Ronaldo sells his majority stake in Real Valladolid

The legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldo has decided to sell his majority stake in Real Valladolid, the Spanish club announced this Friday.

Valladolid, who will play in the second division next season, announced through a statement that Ronaldo informed them of an agreement to sell to a “North American investor group backed by a European fund”.

Valladolid suffered their third relegation in seven years under Ronaldo.

The club promised to offer more details in the coming days.

Ronaldo acquired 51% of Valladolid in 2018.

During this season, Valladolid’s fans protested and demanded that Ronaldo sell his part of the club due to the poor results in LaLiga. The team spent most of the season in the bottom part of the table and was the first team to be relegated.
