Draymond Green Fined for Comments About Refereeing

The NBA has fined Draymond Green, star of the Golden State Warriors, $50,000 for making an inappropriate comment that questions the integrity of the game officials.

This incident occurred during the third game of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, in which the Warriors suffered a 102-97 defeat.

Green’s comment, according to sources, was related to the 5.5-point margin set by betting houses for the match.

Green was caught on camera making a reference to the sideline during a timeout, with the Timberwolves leading the score. The player had been ejected from the game with 4:38 remaining on the clock.

Despite the Warriors’ efforts, including a three-pointer by Jonathan Kuminga in the final seconds, they failed to close the gap in the score.

So far in the postseason, Green has accumulated five technical fouls, the most in the league. If he reaches seven, he will have to serve a one-game suspension.

Throughout his career, Green has accumulated fines totaling $992,000, with $185,000 corresponding to actions directed at officials and $3.2 million in suspensions.
