Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. debuts with the Portugal U-15 team

Lisbon – Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior, son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, has taken an important step in his football career. The 14-year-old debuted this Tuesday with the Portugal jersey in the victory of the under-15 national team against Japan (4-1).

The meeting took place at the tournament held in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia.

Wearing the number ‘7’, his father’s iconic number, Cristiano Júnior started the match from the bench. It was in the second half when he entered the field, playing as a left winger, a position his father occupied at the beginning of his professional career.

During the 26 minutes he was on the field, the Portuguese team maintained the advantage, consolidated by Rafael Cabral’s hat-trick and Henrique Amen’s goal.

The young footballer, known as “Cristianinho” in Portugal, and his teammates are preparing to face Greece this Wednesday and England on Friday. These matches are part of Group B of the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament.

Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior is part of the youth categories of Al Nassr Saudi, the club where his father plays. Previously, he trained in the youth academies of Manchester United and Juventus of Turin.
