Swift and Moore Ready to Face the Saints

Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift confirmed his participation in the upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints. On the other hand, wide receiver DJ Moore is in optimal condition, without any injury designation, after being medically evaluated following last week’s game. Swift suffered a groin injury during the Bears’ victory over the Washington Commanders on Monday. Although his participation in training was limited on Thursday and Friday, and he was listed as questionable, the player assured that he will be on the field when the Bears return to Soldier Field in Week 7.

I can’t wait. Another opportunity against a good opponent. We will try to stay on the path we are on. It’s another opportunity.

Moore was taken to the hospital after playing the entire game against Washington and spent Monday night in the D.C. area under preventive medical evaluation, before returning to Chicago on Tuesday. The practice squad kicker, Jake Moody, will replace Cairo Santos (thigh) for a second consecutive game, after Santos was ruled out on Friday. Swift led the Bears in rushing and receiving against the Commanders, accumulating a total of 175 yards from scrimmage. His 108 rushing yards (7.7 YPC) were a season high. After a slow start to the season, Swift was the engine that drove the Bears’ running game, finally achieving a significant breakthrough.

It felt good. Especially when the guys on the offensive line have been doing what they’ve been doing, and also the guys on the perimeter. They did a great job blocking on the perimeter. When everything works like that, it’s good. It’s good for the offense in general.
