Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham expressed his discontent after his team’s 4-1 loss to Minnesota United in MLS.
Lionel Messi scored for Inter Miami in the match played in St. Paul, but Minnesota handed Miami their biggest defeat in a match in which the Argentine legend played.
After the match, Minnesota generated controversy with several Instagram posts, which provoked Beckham’s reaction in the comments section.
Beckham reacted to a post with the title “Pink Phony Club”, alluding to the color of Miami’s kit and the song “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan.

Minnesota also posted a photo of a party banner that read: “History over advertising, culture over money.” The words “advertising and money” were highlighted in pink.
Beckham, who launched Inter Miami in 2018, commented on the post: “Respect above all”.
In the match, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Anthony Markanich, and Robin Lod scored for Minnesota, while Marcelo Weigandt scored an own goal for Miami.
Miami’s only other defeat this season was against FC Dallas.
Miami’s next match is against San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, where forward Luis Suárez could return to the lineup.
