Jalen Green, Sensitive Loss for the Suns’ Season Start

The Phoenix Suns face a significant setback heading into the start of the season. Jalen Green, one of the team’s key signings during the summer, will not be available for the opening game due to a hamstring injury.

Suns coach Jordan Ott confirmed the news during a press conference before the preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. Ott explained that Green suffered an aggravation of the injury while the team was in China earlier this month.

Green’s situation will be reevaluated in ten days, which means his absence will extend beyond the Suns’ regular season opener against the Sacramento Kings, scheduled for October 22.

The guard, known for his scoring ability, initially suffered a “low-grade strain” in his hamstring during training camp. Despite the injury, Green traveled with the team to China, where the Suns played two preseason games against the Brooklyn Nets.

Green is expected to play a fundamental role on the Suns team, following his arrival as part of the trade that involved Kevin Durant with the Houston Rockets during the offseason.
