Amorim Accepts Criticism and Prioritizes the Europa League

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim acknowledges the criticism for the team’s performance in the Premier League. Although he accepts that the performance must improve, he insists that he has had to prioritize the Europa League.

United secured their place in the Europa League final after defeating Athletic Club with an aggregate score of 7-1.

However, their performance in Europe contrasts with their performance in the Premier League, where Amorim’s team has not won a match in almost two months.

We are trying to do the best we can, but I agree that we can do better. I have nothing to say about the criticism, because we deserve it.

Amorim claims he had no choice but to prioritize the Europa League.

United have two league games against West Ham and Chelsea before the Europa League final against Tottenham in Bilbao on May 21.

Amorim indicated that he will protect his players before facing the Spurs.

Noussair Mazraoui and Harry Maguire are dealing with injuries and are unlikely to start against West Ham on Sunday at Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese coach said he will not fully protect the rest of his squad before the final.

The coach also commented that some players might be thinking about the match against Athletic Club.

The team needs to win matches in the Premier League and use each game to improve, preparing for the final and the future.
