Mac Jones Ready for Buccaneers Matchup

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Mac Jones, who was questionable for Sunday’s game due to an oblique injury, is expected to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Niners wide receiver Jauan Jennings is also expected to participate in the game, despite being listed as questionable due to ankle and rib injuries.

Jones played with a knee issue in last week’s victory against the Los Angeles Rams, although he indicated that he suffered the oblique injury at the end of that game.

Jones was limited in Thursday’s practice for the second consecutive day, but he was optimistic about his availability to play.

Meanwhile, there’s “a possibility” that San Francisco’s starting quarterback, Brock Purdy, could return for next week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. The same goes for 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who is recovering from a knee injury.

Jones has played in three games for San Francisco this season, and the 49ers have won all three.
