Chase Young and Alvin Kamara Ready to Debut with the Saints

New Orleans Saints defensive end Chase Young is set to debut this season against the New England Patriots. The news comes after Young recovered from a calf injury that kept him out of the first five games of the season. Running back Alvin Kamara is also cleared to play, dispelling any doubt about his participation. Both players have been key to the team and their return is great news for the fans. Chase Young, who missed the first five games due to a calf injury, has had an excellent practice week and is ready to bring energy to the team.

Chase has done a lot. It’s exciting to see him on the field. He deserves it, he’s earned it. Nothing has been easy on this path for him, and he’s had an excellent practice week.

Young’s return will strengthen the Saints’ defense, who are currently 14th in sacks this season. Carl Granderson leads the team with 4.5 sacks. The incorporation of Young will allow for greater rotation in the defensive line, keeping key players like Carl Granderson and Cameron Jordan fresh. Kamara, for his part, feels good and has trained well this week, minimizing any concerns about his physical condition.

It was something in the game that I thought wasn’t that serious. It really wasn’t that serious, just a little bit of pain.

In addition to Young and Kamara, guard Cesar Ruiz (ankle), tight end Juwan Johnson (ankle), guard Trevor Penning (ankle) and safety Justin Reid (concussion) will participate fully on Sunday, while cornerback Isaac Yiadom (hamstring) has been ruled out.
