Hamilton Confides in Ferrari’s Potential
Lewis Hamilton reaffirms his confidence that Ferrari can be a title contender during his time with the Italian team, despite the media attention focused on the negative aspects of the 2025 season. Hamilton, who finished in eighth position in the Singapore Grand Prix, dropped one place due to a penalty for multiple track violations, while dealing with a brake problem in the final stages of the race. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, also faced similar difficulties and finished in sixth place. This weekend turned out to be another disappointing one for Ferrari, who have yet to achieve a victory so far this year, while McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes have celebrated multiple victories.
Hamilton continued: “Yesterday was the perfect example. We did the strategy well, but the problem with the brakes held us back just as the momentum was growing. So now we go back to the factory, learn from this last race and plan the next one.” “I am very proud of this team and I want to help achieve the results that they and the tifosi deserve. I see the progress we are making and the hard work that goes into every race, but this is Ferrari.” “Progress alone is not enough. To achieve greatness, we need to go further, be better. There is much we can achieve together, and if we can build on our successes and change the things we need to, I firmly believe we will get there.”“The media headlines only tell one story, one where we don’t do things right or things don’t go as we want. But what I’ve focused on in the last few months is the other story. The one about how this team responds when things go wrong. How we get up and try again”.

His post began with a reflection on the reaction to the death of his dog, Roscoe. “After a difficult week, it feels good to be home. I had some time to reflect on my journey from Singapore and the main emotion I feel is gratitude,” he wrote.
“The support and love I’ve felt since I lost Roscoe has been a powerful reminder that, even when things sometimes seem dark, there is a lot of good in the world. You just have to look for it.”
