Inter Miami defender Jordi Alba has announced his decision to retire from soccer at the end of the 2025 MLS season. The Spanish left-back shared the news via his Instagram account.

“The time has come to close a truly significant chapter in my life. I have decided to end my professional football career at the end of this season,” Alba expressed. “I do it with complete conviction, peace, and happiness. Because I feel that I have traveled this path with all the passion I had and now is the right time to open a new chapter and close the previous one with the best possible feeling.

In his message, Alba thanked his teammates, coaches, club staff, and rivals who pushed him to give his best. He also highlighted the clubs that marked his career:
