Inter Miami midfielder Sergio Busquets revealed his plans to take a break from soccer after announcing his retirement at the end of the 2025 MLS season, before starting a coaching career. Busquets explained that he wants to spend more time with his family, travel, and watch football from a different perspective. The soccer player, who debuted with Barcelona in 2008, also mentioned that the decision to retire is based on his desire to end stages well and close stories properly.“I think in the future, yes [I would like to be a coach], but for now I prefer to take a break,” Busquets told reporters. “It’s a long time, with hardly any weekends. Like any footballer, obviously, playing for the national team and everything gives you a plus, but you also have less time.”
