PFL Announces Stellar Card in Lyon, France
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has confirmed two championship fights to headline an event on December 13 in Lyon, France, at the LDLC Arena.
In the main event, former Bellator MMA light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov (19-2) will face the winner of the 2024 PFL tournament, Renan Ferreira (13-4).
In addition, Cris Cyborg (28-2) will compete against Sara Collins (6-0) for the PFL women’s featherweight title. Both championships are vacant.
The PFL has yet to reveal plans with heavyweight superstar Francis Ngannou (18-3), who signed in 2023 and has only fought once in the promotion.
Ngannou took up boxing in 2023, losing heavyweight fights against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. He returned to MMA in October 2024, defeating Ferreira by TKO in the first round, but hasn’t fought again since then. The 39-year-old Cameroonian could face the winner of the fight announced in December, especially if it’s Nemkov, whom he has never fought.
Cyborg, 40 years old, is the most recognized figure of the event. The former UFC champion and former Bellator MMA champion debuted in the PFL in October 2024 and established herself as one of the best fighters in the world by defeating the PFL two-weight champion, Larissa Pacheco, by unanimous decision.
Cyborg has remained active in boxing in 2025, achieving two knockout victories in March and another in May. She will face a virtually unknown rival, Collins, who has not fought in more than a year, but is coming off a first-round submission victory over Leah McCourt.
