Usyk Challenges Jake Paul: “I’ll Wait for You in the Cage”
The undisputed heavyweight world champion, Oleksandr Usyk, has issued a direct warning to Jake Paul, urging him to prove his mettle and face him in a cage once the Ukrainian boxer decides to hang up his gloves. Paul, who defeated Mike Tyson on points in an exhibition and beat Julio César Chávez Jr. in June, is scheduled to have an exhibition fight against Gervonta Davis in November, which will be broadcast on Netflix. The 28-year-old influencer recently shared his ambitious future plans on social media, including becoming a world boxing champion, defeating Usyk, winning an Oscar, “fighting on the moon,” and starting a presidential campaign. After Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois at Wembley, he met Paul in the ring, where he responded forcefully to the American’s plans.
I have no motivation. I have discipline. That’s why I’m a champion. I believe it with all my heart. It takes me through the ring, through life, through every challenge.
