WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host WWE’s Biggest Event in 2027

In an unprecedented milestone, WrestleMania, the biggest spectacle in professional wrestling, will be held outside of North America for the first time. The event, known as the “Showcase of the Immortals”, will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” in 2027, WWE announced on Friday. Since its creation in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. However, the vision of WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, to take the event international, will finally materialize.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned WrestleMania’s arrival in the country in a live Snapchat video that was later deleted.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans worldwide.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, following a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom spanning ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s four major events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
