Harry Kane Reveals Changes in His Penalty Technique Inspired by Neymar and Others

Bayern Munich’s star striker and England captain, Harry Kane, has shared details on how he has modified his approach to taking penalties, drawing inspiration from the technique of players like Neymar.

Kane, known for his precision and power in penalty kicks, explained that he has adapted his technique by observing specialists in the field, including the Brazilian star Neymar.

“There are quite a few players over the years who have taken penalties like that… Neymar was like that. There have been players who wait for the goalkeeper before hitting. That was never something I used to do, I used to go more for power and precision.”

The 31-year-old striker, who missed a crucial penalty in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final match against France, has worked on perfecting his technique. Kane has highlighted the importance of adapting and constantly seeking improvements, especially after the experience in the World Cup.

Kane has had an outstanding season with Bayern Munich, scoring 34 goals in 41 matches across all competitions. He currently leads the Bundesliga’s top scorer table with 23 goals and has converted all nine penalties he has taken in the league.
