Nash, recognized for his outstanding seasons with the Suns, was awarded the NBA MVP award twice in a row, in 2005 and 2006. The eight-time All-Star was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. In addition to his brilliant playing career, Nash, 51, coached the Brooklyn Nets for over two seasons, from 2020 to 2022, accumulating a record of 94-67 before being fired after a 2-5 start to the 2022 season. The Suns finished last season with a 36-46 record and rebuilt their roster during the offseason, including trading star Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and terminating Bradley Beal’s contract.
