Nick Bosa Suffers ACL Tear and Misses Season

A shocking piece of news rocks the San Francisco 49ers. Star defensive end, Nick Bosa, suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during Sunday’s victory against the Arizona Cardinals. This injury will require surgery and will keep him out of action for the rest of the season.

Medical tests confirmed the severity of the injury, revealing a complete ligament tear.

Bosa left Sunday’s game with just over a minute remaining in the first quarter. On the play, Bosa was chasing Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray from the left side and engaged with left tackle Kelvin Beachum. Cardinals guard Evan Brown came over to double-team and brought Bosa down.

Bosa’s right knee appeared to bend awkwardly as he fell, and Murray’s pass fell incomplete. Bosa slowly walked toward the sideline, where the Niners’ medical staff began treating his injury while Bosa was on his back.

After a few moments, Bosa headed to the blue medical tent, where he stayed for about five minutes before leaving. He spent the next few minutes stretching and doing high knees, but eventually headed to the locker room giving a thumbs down gesture.
