Cole Palmer was one of three changes made by Chelsea in the first 20 minutes of the Premier League match against Manchester United on Saturday, following a difficult start.

Chelsea visited Old Trafford with the intention of adding points, but they encountered a setback when they were reduced to ten men five minutes into the game. Goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was sent off for a foul on Bryan Mbeumo.

Coach Enzo Maresca reacted quickly from the bench, making significant changes. Filip Jørgensen came in as a substitute goalkeeper, replacing Estêvão, and Tosin Adarabioyo replaced Pedro Neto.

After conceding a goal by a goal from Bruno Fernandes, captain of United, Chelsea made another change, this time with the surprising departure of Palmer, who was replaced by Andre Santos.

Although Palmer seemed to be suffering from some physical problem, his expression did not reflect joy when leaving the field, and his substitution was met with ironic applause from the United fans.

Before heading to the tunnel, Palmer appeared to greet Kobbie Mainoo, a United player who came on as a substitute.

Palmer, 23, was playing his first league game since August due to an injury.
