Seattle Mariners Crush Astros with Home Run Barrage

The Seattle Mariners solidified their position in the American League West Division after an impressive 4-0 victory over the Houston Astros at Daikin Park. The match was defined by a demolishing offense, where four solo home runs stood out.

This triumph represents the seventh consecutive victory for Seattle and the 12th in their last 13 games. This performance allows them to regain the lead in their division and get closer to the postseason.

The home run day began with Julio Rodríguez, who hit his 31st home run of the season. Eugenio Suárez also made himself felt with his 47th home run of the year, and the 11th since his return to the Mariners. Víctor Robles contributed his first home run of the season and Josh Naylor closed the night with his 20th home run, reaching the 20/20 mark.

Despite the offensive success, the Mariners suffered a setback with the injury of their All-Star starter, Bryan Woo, who left the game in the sixth inning due to discomfort during warm-up. The severity of the injury is still unknown.

With this victory, the Mariners tied with the Detroit Tigers for second place in the American League standings, with an advantage in the tiebreaker, securing a strategic position for the postseason.
